Our History

Saya School operates under the auspices of Saya Welfare Scociety. It is a social welfare initiative aimed at providing and promoting to some of the out of 26 million out-of-school children living in the outskirts of Islamabad.

The school began in 2008 with meager resources, and the first classes were held under the shadow of a tree. Hence the name Saya or Shadow. From the class of a dozen children the Saya school has now grown into full fledge High School up to grade 10, and the student population is now more than 800 boys and girls. It now boasts three purpose-built buildings, a well-stocked library, computer and chemistry labs, a sports ground with astro-turf cover. and proper classrooms equipped with LEDs. Audio-Visual aids are also regulary used for better teaching, and teachers are adequately trained to make use of computers and AI for teaching and research.
